MoeDove Research and Education Network (MDREN) is a non-profit, experimental backbone established to foster learning, research, and technical collaboration among network hobbyists and engineers.
Operating under AS44324, our primary mission is to provide accessible infrastructure, including low-cost or free virtual machines and tunnel transit services, enabling students and researchers to experiment with BGP routing, virtualization, and network security in a real-world environment.
We are actively present at several Internet Exchanges (including ZXIX, and MoeDove IX) to expand our research footprint and improve connectivity for our community. We welcome peering with other educational networks, research initiatives, and open-minded ISPs to support the global networking community.
Routing Security & Operations:
- We strictly filter routes based on IRRDB and RPKI ROA validations.
- ASPA (Autonomous System Provider Authorization) is deployed across our network to enhance routing security.
- We operate a dual-stack (IPv4 & IPv6) network and encourage IPv6 peering.
